It is located in the center of Mexico, at an altitude of 2,240 metres, which makes it one of the highest capitals in the world. Mexico’s capital is both the oldest capitals city in the Americas and one of two founded by Amerindians.

Host Venue: Gimnasio Olimpico Juan de la Barrera

The Gimnasio Olimpico Juan de la Barrera was built in Mexico City in 1968, for the Olympic Games. It hosted the volleyball matches tournament during the Games and has a seating capacity of 5,242.
