Mexico just two set wins away from Rio

 

Mexico City, Mexico, June 5, 2016 - Hosts Mexico are the team with the best shot at the Rio ticket before the last day at the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Olympic Qualification Tournament in Mexico City. All they need is to win two sets against Tunisia, but, depending on the result between Chile and Algeria before that, even one may suffice. Chile and Tunisia are the other two teams that are still in contention.



Algeria have already lost their chances to qualify for Rio, but Chile will be looking to win their last FIVB Volleyball Men's World Olympic Qualification Tournament game by as wide a margin as possible to get as great a probability as possible to book a ticket to the games.  Read more.



Mexico would definitely make the line-up for Rio if they win at least two sets against Tunisia in the last match of the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Olympic Qualification Tournament in Mexico City. If Chile loses at least two sets in the game with Algeria before that, then Tunisia will also have a shot at the Games with a 3-0 win against the hosts.  Read more.
