No time to waste for four teams chasing the Olympic dream in Mexico

 

Mexico City, Mexico, June 2, 2016 - Only one Olympic ticket is at stake at the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Olympic Qualification Tournament starting in Mexico City on Friday, so the four participants - Algeria, Chile, Mexico and Tunisia - have no time to waste and have to give their best from the very first of three competition days.



Two sides with quite a different level of Olympic experience, Chile and Tunisia, will open the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Olympic Qualification Tournament in Mexico City on Friday.  Read more.



For both Mexico and Algeria qualifying for Rio 2016 would mean a second participation in the Olympic Games.  The two teams meet on the first competition day of the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Olympic Qualification Tournament in Mexico City with old memories from the Games.  While the African side played at Barcelona 1992, the NORCECA side's first Olympic adventure dates back to 1968 at the home.  Read more.
